Jann Wenner’s 7,979-square-foot, five-bedroom, four-bedroom mansion on Davis Lane in Tivoli sold in November for slightly less than $11 million. The mansion, which was built in 1994, was the fifth most expensive transaction upstate in 2018.

In order to determine which were the most expensive homes sold in upstate New York, PropertyShark looked at all residential transactions closed in 2018, taking into account condo, single- and the two-family homes. All package deals were excluded.

According to PropertyShark, which released the report, eight of the 10 properties that made the list (of most expensive traded) are in Westchester, with the remaining two in Dutchess. They considered every county north of New York City Upstate New York, including Westchester and Rockland.

“If we were to exclude Westchester and Rockland counties, the ranking would’ve been very different, with Dutchess County dominating the top,” they wrote.

Other Hudson Valley sales to make the list include the sale of the late David Rockefeller’s estate for $33 million in Pocantico Hills, a near $16 million Rye estate for Bill Gate’s daughter and a waterfront Oasis with 1,000 feet of shoreline on Grace Church Street in Rye for $12.8 million.
